Thankful

When I sat down to write this post, to list the things I’m thankful for as one often does this time of year, I realized I was at a loss for words. Not a nice place for an author to find herself, generally. But in this case, right now, it is the best place to be. I’m not at a loss for words because I have nothing to be thankful for, but because I have so much to be thankful for I don’t know how I could ever list it all.

Is my life perfect? No. Not even close. It’s been a rough year in a lot of ways. But those rough patches have made the good areas in my life so much sweeter.

I’m thankful for my struggle because without it I wouldn’t have stumbled across my strength. ~Unknown

I’m thankful this year for so many things. One of them is reading this blog post at this very second. You. Friends near and far. Bloggers and authors and readers… you make my days brighter just by being you.

So, from my family to yours, I wish for you the happiness of good friends, the joy of a happy family, and the wonder of the holiday season. Have a wonderful thanksgiving!
