Six Sentence Sunday

I’m sticking with my debut novel, Concilium, for my six sentences.  Concilium releases in July through MuseItUp Publishing.

SET UP:  Last Leslee was walking through the the safe house she was taken to when the lights went out.  She reached out her hand in the darkness looking for something to guide her in the unfamiliar house.  Many of you commented that she should keep her hands to herself…don’t reach out!  Well you were right.  Fast forward a little this is an excerpt after she was attacked by the Imbibo when they broke into the darkened house.

I collapsed, unable to pull my weight any further. I was so tired. I wasn’t even in that much pain anymore. My body felt numb. I laid my head on the stair and closed my eyes, feeling the room tilt to one side and then the other. I listened to my blood dripping steadily on the wood beneath me.
