Elixir Bound by Katie L. Carroll

Elixir Bound by Katie L. Carroll

I’m so thrilled to host one of my publishing sister’s blog tour stops. Elixir Bound by Katie Carroll is published through MuseItUp Publishing (where my first book was published!) and has recently been made available in both print and e-book formats. I have to say, when I read Katie’s bio it was an inspiration to me. Katie began writing at a very sad time in her life after her 16-year-old sister, Kylene, unexpectedly passed away. Since then writing has taken her to many wonderful places, real and imagined. She wrote Elixir Bound and the forthcoming Elixir Saved so Kylene could live on in the […]

Lorrie Struiff Guest Post

I’m so happy to have Lorrie Struiff visinting today! Hello, Michelle, Thank you so much for hosting me today on your blog. I’d like to tell the readers how authors find it difficult to promote. A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE I think of the rock as my stories that I write, and the hard place is trying to roll that rock before the eyes of my target readership. I’m basically a short story writer. I’ve sold shorts to publishers and then I’m done with them. Forget it, nothing more to do. But, now I’m writing novellas and book length […]

I never remember to go to the post office. Decaf or Caffeinated to the max? Oh…caffeine. Please. I need to be coherent! Sunrise or Sunset? Sunrise. I love the possibilities of a […]

Today I’m excited to have Kelly Whitley visiting to tell us a little about herself and her novel Into the Red. Welcome, Kelly! I’m so glad you could stop by and tell us more about yourself and your book! Let’s start with the really hard questions… Decaf or Caffeinated to the max? Moderately caffeinated—no espresso! Best “author” moment? When my beta reader told me she hoped she had the vampire gene! One thing you’d never eat? Pickled baby birds in eggs—saw that on Fear Factor years ago, and thought “there’s an easier way to make money!” What are your writing […]

Guest Post by author L.K. Below

21 Days until the release of This Blackened Night, The Order: Book 3! Every author has a set of characters more dear to their hearts than any others. In most cases, this stems from these characters being among the first ever created. I won’t claim Lori and Terrence were my very first, but they did come close. Their first book, Stalking Shade, which released in 2011, was originally written in 2007. And rewritten. And rewritten. And now it feels like a dear friend is moving away. With the release of This Blackened Night on September 24th, 2012, the trilogy will […]

Alecia Stone and Talisman of El

Why I Write By Alecia Stone “You only live once.” Okay, so you’ve probably heard that phrase a few times, right? Well, if that is the case, then you might as well live life to the fullest. And that’s why I write. I write to experience life in every way I possibly can. Every time we read a story, we step out of our world and into someone else’s world, so we are, in a sense, experiencing a different reality. When I first started to write fiction, I wrote because I had a story I wanted to tell. It was […]
