I’m a sucker for fairy tale retellings. One of my favorites right now is Throne of Glass (which is loosely based on Cinderella for those who don’t know, which is probably no one. I enjoyed the sneak peek of The Glittering Court. It’s the first thing I’ve read by Richelle Mead. The storyline, so far, has been interesting and unique. It’s kind of a take-off of The Bachelorette, the Dating Game, and Survivor (without the filth and dinner of bugs).   It’s written well, aside from the occasional adverbs (huffily?). The characters are likeable, so far. Although the reader doesn’t find out too much about them. This may be intentional. Without reading the entire book it’s hard to know.
